A happily married teacher, Bonnie Wheeler, receives a call from Joan, her husband's ex-wife, warning that her life is in danger. Bonnie doesn't like Joan, whose children are unpleasant, but agrees to hear Joan out. When she arrives at Joan's place, however, Joan is dead and Bonnie becomes the prime suspect.
